Works by Erin Rendell, MSc student in Geography at Queen’s, are part of the current exhibition in the Union Gallery 'We Carry Each Other’ which features repeat photography of glaciers from Axel Heiberg Island, Nunavut. Erin's work includes repeat photography and soundscape recordings that aim to highlight interaction between human and non-human actors, and leaves room for the viewer to develop knowledge about the arctic.

The Faculty of Education Arts Infusion Committee is excited to launch a sneak peak of its online gallery to share art sub91��Ƶs for the Queen's Imagines the Future festival. Faculty, staff, and students in the community submitted artworks to capture their conceptions of the future in connection to our festival 91��Ƶ: to stretch ways of feeling, thinking, acting and being in relation to climate change and to imagine ways forward. The gallery will be released online on March 27 at educarts.ca

The online gallery will showcase a selection of artworks, which can be accessed through our website. Please also check out the the in-person gallery hosted at the Faculty of Education Library from April 16 to May 8th. Join us for our gallery celebration event on April 23 from 12:30 to 1:30. In celebration of the inaugural World Day for Glaciers (March 21) and World Water Day (March 22), the third Women Plus Water 2025 Conversation focuses on the world's water towers - mountains and glaciers. The conversation will provide insights into what motivates the research and exploration of glaciers, the connection between glaciers and people, and the experience of our guests working in this male-dominated field.

Members of the Queen’s Community (faculty, staff and students) to are invited to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) event, hosted by the Queen's Women's Network, Women in Science at Queen's, the Chair for Women in Engineering, and affiliates with the support of the Inclusive Community Fund.

International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8, honours the achievements of women across all aspects of life - social, economic, cultural, and political - while also advocating for gender equality. This year's international theme is #Accelerate Action.

The event provides an opportunity to build community within the university, gain information about Women's focused groups across campus, and enjoy light refreshments. Donations will be collected in support of Kingston Interval, house, which provides support and resources for women and children in crises.

In honour of National Women's Day, the Feminist Legal Studies Queen's will be hosting a conference on "Promises, Praxes, Paradigms: Knowing and Acting for Change 30 years after the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action." Dr. Nicole Redvers (DPhil, Nd, MPH) has been invited as the Keynote speaker and will be touching on the the Indigenous determinants of planetary health and respect of the feminine.

   Dr. Clark specializes in EDIIA (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigenization, and Accessibility)-focused approaches to Indigenous health, social sciences, research, and policy. She is the co-creator of the Healthy Homes Model and the Indigenous Athletic Development Circle and serves as Director of Indigenous Health at the Canadian Medical Association.

   Energy Specialist, Physical Plant Services, Queen’s University
   David leverages his expertise in energy management to advance sustainable practices aligned with the UN SDGs. With a B.Sc.H. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Economics from Queen’s, his career spans roles in energy efficiency across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Since 2019, he has led initiatives to optimize campus energy use, reduce environmental impact, and promote conservation.
